Amethyst Glass Seal Fob Engraved Save Me Lord Antique Victorian 19th C

Highly collectable Victorian gilded brass and tapered hexagonal amethyst glass seal fob with the motto "Save Me Lord" on the stamping surface. The brass top has a small dotted surface and the whole looks similar in shape to a small bell weight.

The fob dates from the mid - late 19th century and would have been worn on a chatelaine or pocket watch chain. The seal is 3/4 inch long and the hexagonal head of the glass is a little under 1/2 inch the flats and 1/2 inch across the corners.

It is in good condition with just a few tiny flea bites to the glass commensurate with age and use.
