446 printed pages with a further 2 with adverts Dated 1831 on the title page. Scarce. A very good tight copy. Original publisher's blue cloth - gilt embossed to the spine 'The Cottage Gardener'. From Milner and Sowerby's cottage library with the words 'cottage library' embossed to the head of the spine. The end papers are lists of cheap books published by Milner and Sowerby. A long fold-out frontispiece plate. A few line engravings - illustrations in the text. Fading to the cover and tanning to the pages some minor foxing some bumping to the corners and wear to the cloth. A very good, clean, tight copy of a scarce book. A joy for the antique collector, gardener and bibliophile.

Size 5 1/8 inches (13 cm) high x 3 1/4 inches (8.3cm) wide 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick, 175 grammes unpacked.
