Antique Aesthetic Movement Moore Brothers Cup Saucer & Plates Set Gilded & Hand Painted with Jewelled Flowers Grasses and Butterflies circa 1875

A very attractive antique four piece porcelain set of cup, saucer, side plate and cake plate by the renowned English factory of Moore Brothers of St Mary's Works,Longton,Staffordshire, England. They operated from 1872 until 1905.

This very decorative set has a stylish aesthetic movement design on a very pale yellow background. The design is hand decorated, gilded and enamelled with grasses, flowers and pretty butterflies in flight. The flowers on all pieces have orange and turquoise raised enamel beads or jewels.

The flatware pieces have faint impressed mark - Moore. The larger plate has a diameter of 24 cm and the cup stands 6.5 cm high. Together, all pieces weigh 895 grammes unpacked. They are in generally good condition with the cup and saucer both having faint, tight hairlines that are not obvious or detracting. 

This is a lovely antique Aesthetic Movement gilded and jewelled set for display and dates from circa 1875.
