An antique late 19th century / early 20th c item of tobacciana - an amber cigar or cheroot holder in its original case.
The holder weighs 11g and is made of a sherry or honey coloured amber which has craquelure and slight mottling or flecking. It is in a leather covered wooden box with a blue velvet and silk lining.
It is 3 1/8th inches long and in good order with just a little chipping around the rim where the cigar would be fitted. The box is a little rubbed but opens and closes with a positive snap.
