Art Deco Silver Rose Quartz Marcasite Beads Necklace and Earrings Set

A beautiful set of jewellery dating from around 1920s - 30s and featuring the very pretty semi-precious stone, rose quartz.

The set is made up of a necklace of round rose quartz beaded, graduated in size and knotted between each bead. and a pair of matching stud earrings. The necklace is approx 19 inches long and has a silver clasp set with marcasites. The clasp is marked Sterling on the back and the hook is marked metal. 

The earrings are set with rose quartz cabochons surrounded by marcasites. They are just over 1/2 inch in diameter and are stamped silver on the back of the earrings and on the butterfly backs. The set is well made and good quality - beautiful for wearing on any occasion. Rose quartz is the birthstone for October although I have also seen it linked to January as the traditional birthstone before Garnet replaced it in modern times.

Rose quartz is said to signify peace, compassion, healing and comfort. Would make a lovely gift or a treat for yourself.
