A very pretty Bohemian mouth blown glass water jug or pitcher dating from around 1880.
It is made of clear glass that has been hand enamelled, Mary Gregory style, with a picture of a red roofed house. The bulbous bowled jug is slightly ribbed in style and has a simple strap handle. It stands 6 3/8ths inches high and the base diameter is 2 3/4 inches.
The base has a snapped off pontil and the jug weighs 307g unpacked. It is in very good condition with just wear to the gilded rim, commensurate with age and use. This is a great item for any collector and a very decorative display piece.
