Antique Cauldon Prunus Hawthorn Pattern Vase Hexagonal Blue and White 21 cm 1910
An antique blue and white transfer hexagonal flared vase by a good maker, Cauldon Ltd of Hanley, Staffordshire. The vase has a most attractive Chinese style design of prunus or hawthorn flowers on a dark blue background with a self-coloured diaper moti another feature of Chinese pottery and porcelain.
The pottery vase has a printed Cauldon Ware mark on the base, dating it to circa 1905 - 1920. It stands 21 cm high and the diameter at the rim is 14 cm and at the base, 10.5 cm. It weighs 623g. The vase has a white interior below a deep patterned rim and isin excellent condition.
This is a very decorative item for display and use and would fit well in any interior or among a collection of blue and white transferware or Chinese prunus pattern items.
