Chinese Canton Celadon Plate Painted Bird and Butterflies 19th C Antique
An 19th century Chinese celedon green plate that has been hand painted in bright enamel colours with a bird, probably a Chinese Pheasant, on a floral covered branch with three brightly coloured butterflies. The back is marked in under glaze blue with an stylised reign seal mark. The plate dates from around 1880.
It is in good antique condition with a little wear to the gilding and enamel, some of which has been overfired. some very minor glaze flakes to the rear rim and some fritting.
This is a lovely item to add to any collection of Chinese celedon ware or porcelain,
