Antique Chinese export porcelain 18th Century Batavian rimmed dinner plate hand painted blue and white flowers - antique circa 1730

An antique Chinese export porcelain Batavian rimmed dinner plate, decorated with a hand painted peonies in under-glaze cobalt blue. The design in the centre of the plate has three sprays of flowers including peonies, pomegranate and lily type flowers. There is an outer border of diamond diaper and what may possibly be stylised bats. The base has a low foot rim.

This lovely antique porcelain plate dates to the early eighteenth century, circa 1720 - 1740, during the reign of either Emperor Yongzheng ( 雍正 , 1678-1735) or of the Emperor Qianlong ( 乾隆,1736-95) in the Qing dynasty 清代. This period equates to the reigns of George I and early George II in the United Kingdom.

It is in very good antique condition, other than the usual minor fritting to the front and glaze flakes to the underside of the rim. No other chips cracks nor restoration.

It is a very attractive item to add to a collection of antique blue and white hand painted Chinese early 18th century export porcelain.

The plate is 9 1/8 inches (23.3 cm) in diameter and stands 1 inch (2.54 cm) high, it weighs 346 grammes unpacked.
