Antique Georgian Gilded & Silver Plated Punch Ladle Twisted Carved Handle c 1830 

Here we have a very attractive and usable antique Georgian silver plated punch ladle dating from around 1820 -1830.

The ladle has a scalloped or shell shaped bowl that has been gilded, giving a very opulent effect. The handle is a traditional twisted design and has a slight grain and flexibility to it.There is an ornate leaf type joint where the metal handle joins the darker section and the ladle measures approx 14 inches long overall. 

The bowl has a side pourer and measures 3 1/8th inches wide.The ladle measures 32g so a lovely, light feel in the hand. 

Condition is good with just a little wear to the plate on the back of the bowl. 

There was probably originally a little metal finial at the top of the handle.
