Antique Japanese Porcelain Brush Pot Meiji Period Hand Painted B&W Floral 1890
A very pretty antique Japanese hand painted porcelain blue and white brush pot, spill vase or bud vase. It has been freely hand painted in underglaze blue with a design featuring flowers and grasses with a blue reserved band border to both the top and bottom.
The vase is unmarked and dates from around 1890 - the Meiji period and with the light blue colour, looks similar to the work from Seto.
It measures 4 inches high and has a diameter of 2 inches. It weighs 204g unpacked and is in good antique condition with a short hairline to the rim.
Please take a look at my other antique items listed for sale this week including more Japanese and Chinese ceramics.
