Antique Meissen Porcelain Blue Onion Pattern Reticulated Plate Gilt Edge 19th C
An antique, beautiful quality decorative, hard paste Meissen porcelain reticulated plate or dish decorated with hand painted blue onion pattern with a gilded border and rim. The reticulation or piercing being picked out in blue on the front of the plate.
There is an underglaze cobalt blue maker's mark of crossed swords the trademark of Meissen Porcelain Company the shape of the pommel hilted mark dates from 1815 to 1924. There are also some decorator's marks and potter's impressed marks. The Meissen Porcelain factory is in Meissen, near Dresden in Saxony, Germany.
The plate is in excellent antique condition with no chips cracks nor restoration. Please see the images.
