Antique Pearlware Pottery Leaf Shaped Pickle Dish Blue & White Willow c 1800
A lovely item of antique Georgian period pearlware dating from around 1790 -1800. This pickle dish is in the shape of a leaf and has relief moulded veins giving a realistic look.
It has a serrated edge and has been transfer printed with the willow pattern. The dish measures 5 3/4 inches long by 5 1/4 inches wide. It stands 1 1/2 inches high, weighs 88g and has some damage - there is a piece that has been broken and re-glued in place. There are also some minor chips to the points of the rim and a star crack at the base - only visible underneath. Despite the damage it still displays well and is a great item for any collector of pearlware or pickle dishes.
