Antique Porcelain Moore Brothers Cherub Water Lily Centrepiece Goode 1880

A beautiful quality antique, highly decorative and useful porcelain table centrepiece on a trilateral stand with three winged cherubs or putti supporting a central high relief water lily decorated bowl. The base has a gilded Greek key border and the bowl is supported on a gilded and pierced central ring support. The centre-piece has been decorated with with green, brown and yellow enamels with gilding and black enamel highlighting. The bowl is fastened to the base with a discrete brass screw and nut.

On the base there is an under glaze elliptical black retailers mark for Thomas Goode and Co of London, this retailer is still in operation at 19 South Audley Street in Mayfair. There is an impressed maker's mark Moore and an impressed diamond registration mark. Moore Brothers operated from St Mary's works, Longton Staffordshire England from 1872 until 1905.

This antique porcelain table centrepiece dates to the 19th century during the Victorian period around 1880,  It is in good antique condition, there is some wear to the gilding and enamel, a small chip to the rim of the bowl which has a little internal marking and old restoration to one of the cherubs and crazing to some of the other cherubs. Please see the images. A nice example for a collector of Moore Brothers porcelain or antique table centre pieces.
