Antique Royal Doulton Flow Blue Small Meat Platter Watteau Dated 1914 - Rectangular Transfer Printed French Scene Four Figures in a Landscape

A very attractive antique Royal Doulton (Doulton, Burslem) flow blue transfer printed small meat plate or platter in the Watteau Pattern.

The plate is 27.5 cm or 10 3/4 inches in diameter and fully marked on the back with the Doulton Burslem printed backstamp. It also has an impressed Doulton mark and the number 1914 for the year of manufacture.

The plate has a delightful scene showing four figures in a landscape in a style after the French painter, Jean- Antoine Watteau. The plate is in excellent condition and weighs 617g. A very decorative piece to add to any collection of antique blue and white, particularly flow blue.
