Royal Worcester Porcelain Double Spouted Teapot Aesthetic Movement Antique 1880
A Royal Worcester porcelain double spouted teapot which is very attractive and an highly collectable antique item . This unusual double spouted tea pot is a rare find and quite a novelty. It has the printed Royal Worcester mark on the base and under the lid including the date letter for 1880.
The top half of the teapot is decorated with the transfer printed Willow pattern in a deep blue. The lower part of the pot has a relief moulded basket weave pattern and the handle is also relief moulded with a beaded and rope type design with double flower head terminals.
There are four little gilded ball feet and gilded highlights elsewhere, adding to the very attractive look of this unusual item. The teapot stands 6 1/2 inches high and is 8 1/4 inches wide. It weighs 509g and is in good antique condition with a small chip and associated crack to the tip of one spout and a small chip to the other - both restored. There is a little rubbing to the gilded bands on the handle, commensurate with age and use.
This is a great piece for any collector and a very decorative display item.
