Silver Plated Bottle Stopper and Pourer Jug Ewer Shape Novelty Antique c 1880
A silver plated wine bottle stopper and pourer with original cork insert, dating from around 1880. It is shaped as a Victorian jug or pitcher without a handle. The lid is hinged and weighted in such a way that it ingeniously opens when tilted to pour; when returned to an upright position the lid closes automatically. It measures 3 1/8" overall in height including the cork. and weighs 30g unpacked.
It is an attractive and amusing antique piece in good antique used condition - a great item for any collector or for use!
