Antique Victorian 9ct Gold Front and Seed Pearl Tiny Cross Brooch or Pin c 1890

A very pretty little aesthetic movement period brooch or pin in the shape of a budded cross and dating from circa 1890.

The 3/4 inch long brooch is made of yellow base metal with a 9ct yellow gold front. At the end of each arm of the cross is a trefoil shape set with a trio of split or seed pearls, to represent the Trinity. 

There is bright cut engraving at each trefoil and to the centre of the cross. The pin of the brooch fastens securely to a safety pin type clasp and this is a lovely little item to add to any collection - a very wearable piece.

It is in good condition and ready to wear. The top left pearl appears to have been replaced as it is a little smaller than the others. The cross weighs 1.3 grammes unpacked.
