Antique Victorian Lidded Cut Glass Beer Stein 0.5l Pewter Handle and Rim c 1880
Here we have a very attractive German late 19th century beer stein made from hand blown glass with cut panels and a faceted base.
The stein dates from around 1880 and has pewter fittings attaching the lid to the handle. The lid has frosted glass and there is a thumb rest with a fleur de lys design. It has an attractive tapered shape and a simple loop handle.
It stands 9 1/4 inches high and has a base diameter of 3 1/4 inches and holds half a litre. It weighs 633g and is in very good condition.
There is the amount of wear to the base that you would expect to see from an item of antique glassware.
This is a superb item for any collector of antique drinking glassware, breweriana or steins and great for display and use.
