A pink and white cased glass or opaline glass basket with clear glass edge, frilled rim and overshot handle, sometimes referred to as bride's baskets. English, Stourbridge the Late 19th Century circa 1880. This very pretty and decorative piece of antique glassware is made of hand blown pink and white cased or opaline glass. with a rough pontil on the base.
The basket measures approx 6 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches and 5 1/2 inches high. It is in very good condition throughout with just a couple of minor flaws in the glass dating from manufacture. It weighs 303g.
