Antique Victorian Silver Plated Fish Servers Allen and Darwin Boxed c 1890
A lovely quality pair of silver plated fish servers by Allen and Darwin of Sheffield and dating from around 1890 - 1900. This boxed set is marked on the knife blade with the maker's monogram, A & D and the pair have faux ivory handles. The knife is 11 1/4 inches long and the fork, 8 1/4 inches. They have engraved decoration, including a flower on the blade and they are in very good condition - do not appear to have had much use at all. Out of the box they weigh 191g and with it, 373g. The box has minor scuffs to the outer and a little tearing to the silk at the hinges.
This is a great set for display and use - perfect for any dinner party where fish is on the menu!
