A very pretty and wearable antique silver and faux pearl brooch or pin in the shape of a starburst. The brooch dates from around 1890 when starburst shaped items were very much in vogue.
It is made of silver - unmarked but tests as such - and is set with tiny split faux pearls. The brooch is 1 inch in diameter and the pin fastens very securely to a c-shaped clasp. The brooch is perfect for adding detail to a little black dress or jacket lapel, for example - a lovely, wearable item of antique jewellery.
It is in good conditiion with just a little wear to the lustre finish of the faux pearls and one has a very minor chip to the side. only visible when viewing with an eyeglass.
