Antique Victorian Yellow Metal Articulated Long Cluster Earrings c 1870 3 inches

A stunning pair of statement earrings dating from the Victorian period. These lovely long earrings have an articulated cluster of seed shaped droppers in gilded yellow metal (not actual gold). 

The shape of the earrings reflects the move towards naturalistic forms circa 1870 - 1880. They are 2 7/8ths inches long including the kidney type hooks which have small decorative discs at the front. The earrings are very eye catching when worn and are a comfortable weight at approx 4.5 grammes each.

The earrings are in good condition, ready to wear with just a little wear to the plated finish in places - not obvious.
