Antique Walker & Hall Silver Plated Tea Service - Set of Three Pieces - Teapot, milk jug & sugar basin- Georgian Style Ribbed London Shape Edwardian
A lovely, antique, Georgian style ribbed London shaped tea pot, milk and sugar set in silver plate by the renowned maker, Walker & Hall of Sheffield, England.
The set has a very elegant look and dates from circa 1910 to 1920s. It has a number of stamps on the bases including the Walker and Hall pennant and the pattern or shape numbers 1680 followed by an Upper case A.
The highly decorative set has a ribbed detail to the lower part of each item and the teapot has a black handle and matching knob. Each item has four bun feet. The teapot stands 15.5cm high and is 25cm long. The hinged lid closes positively and the set is in very good, used condition with only very minor marks to the plated finish and some wear to the inside of the teapot, commensurate with use.
It weighs 1271 grammes unpacked, so a good, heavy quality set. A lovely set for display and use and by a great maker, Please see my other items of antique metalware including more silver plated pieces.
