An antique late Victorian Wedgwood ornamental porcelain centrepiece beautifully and naturalistically modelled as a conch shell perched upon branched coral stems, all sat on a round base with moulded stylised scallop shell and seaweed decoration. 

This is one of a series of fine white china shells originally designed in 1894 for table decoration. This antique fine bone china ornamental centrepiece or vase was made in the factory originally owned by Josiah Wedgwood, Wedgwood of Etruria, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, England. The base has a printed mark Wedgwood, with three stars, Etruria, England and the number 19. This is a very decorative and collectable piece of antique porcelain dating from the late 19th century circa 1900 - in the Victorian period. 

The centrepiece is in excellent antique condition with a minor firing tear to the shell and some very minor fritting, no chips cracks nor restoration. Please see the images.
