Antique William IV Yellow Drabware Jug Moulded Daisies Pink Lustre c 1835 17 cm
An antique English Drabware or yellow ware earthenware jug dating from c 1835 - the William IV period. The jug has a bulbous ribbed and moulded shape body with an ornate handle. It has embossed daisies on the uppermost section and there are painted dark blue and pink lustre highlights.
This very attractive jug stands 6 3/4 inches or 17 cm high and is 7 1/4 inches or 18.5 cm wide. It is unmarked as is often the case with pottery items dating from this period but was most likely produced by one of the Staffordshire 4 potteries of the day.
