Antique William Ridgway Ironstone Blue and White Transfer Printed Dinner Plate Willow Pattern circa 1840 23.5cm diameter

A decorative and collectable antique ironstone dinner plate with transfer printed willow pattern decoration circa 1840. The plate has an impressed mark on the back, Opaque Granite China which is the mark used by William Ridgway of Church Works, Hanley. There is also a printed mark, Iron Stone China. 

The plate is 9 1/4 inches in diameter and quite light in weight at 332 grammes unpacked. It is a good quality piece as you would expect from this renowned factory. It is in very good condition and perfect to add to any collection of Ridgway or blue and white transfer ware of the first half of the 19th Century.
