Here we have a very decorative hand painted English
porcelain cabinet plate from the renowned Worcester factory - produced during
the Kerr and Binns period 1852 -62.
This very attractive plate has been beautifully hand painted with a design of a spray of white and pink roses at the centre. There are pink and turquoise bands and a gilded rim with a feather type pattern. There is a ribbon like band of small gilded dots around the pink band. The overall effect is most appealing and this is delightful item for display.
The 9 inches diameter plate has the impressed circular
scrolled W Crescent 51 mark on the back and this was only used for the period
of 1852 - 1862 after which time it was surmounted by a crown.
The plate weighs 494g and is in good condition with just a
little rubbing to the gilded rim. A great item to add to any collection of
antique plates or Worcester porcelain.
