Art Deco Czech Yellow Tango Glass Vase Bowl Hand Painted Peacocks c 1930s
A very attractive c 1920s - 30s yellow tango glass footed bowl or vase made in the then Czechoslovakia. lily or stem vase probably produced in the then Bohemia, now Czech Republic. Tango glass was made by Loetz, Kralik and a number of other makers.
This vibrant yellow vase has been hand painted with a design featuring peacocks, butterflies, trees and what look a little like beehives. It is a very decorative item and quite unusual. It stands 6 inches high and has a diameter at the rim of 5 1/8th inches. It weighs 506g. There is some damage to this piece - a disguised chip at the rim as well as cracks in the base and one to the lower part of the bowl. Despite this, it displays well and is a very decorative item for display - a great piece to add to any collection of art deco coloured glassware.
