Art Deco French Glass Liqueur Decanter or Scent Bottle Blue Painted and Engraved
A very attractive art deco French glass liqueur decanter or scent bottle dating from around 1920 - 30. The bottle is made of clear blown glass and is 23 cm or 9 inches high.
It has been hand painted in blue enamels and has a three oval shaped cartouches with engraved floral sprays. The design is similar to pieces by Marcel Goupy and has the design influences of French glassware of the art deco period. The bottle has a painted number 6 on the base and weighs 258g.
It in in good condition although the stopper, which fits well, may be a replacement. There are some minor flea bites to the facets of the stopper. This is a lovely item to add to any collection and a very decorative display piece.
