Art Deco German Machine Age Diamante Brooch Pin Poss Schreiber and Hiller c 1930

Antique art deco machine age German silvertone diamante channel set brooch, possibly by Schreiber and Hiller.

This great looking, very stylish brooch is unmarked but is good quality and was part of a collection of good quality costume jewellery that included pieces by Schreiber and Hiller and there are similarities with a marked item.

The bar brooch is 6 cm long and has a central rosette or cluster with two channel set bars radiating out at each side. Between the bars is a fretted or pieced section also set with sparkling clear stones. The channel set bars are pierced at the side to let in light for plenty of sparkle and there is an embossed scrolling pattern adding to a quality finish. 

The brooch's pin fastens securely with a safety catch and it is in good condition, ready to wear. One of the little stones in the central section, next to the cluster, is darker than the others so think this may be am old replacement. There is a scratched jeweller's repair mark on the back of the brooch, so this is possible.
