Art Deco Wilkinson Clarice Cliff Striped Open Conical Handle Cup & Saucer 1930s

A very attractive and stylish antique art deco small tea cup or coffee cup and saucer, (some collectors may call this a demi-tasse), marked Wilkinson Ltd and designed by the famous art deco designer, Clarice Cliff.

This very elegant and modern looking cup and saucer dates from circa 1930s and features the rare open conical handle. Both pieces have a cream coloured glaze and there are hand painted bands of two shades of blue and brown/beige. 

The saucer has a diameter of 12.5 cm and the cup stands 5.5 cm high and has a diameter at the rim of 7cm. The saucer has the name of Wilkinson Ltd printed in silver. This is a great item in very good condition. A desirable example of Clarice Cliff design for any collector and a rare find. Weight 144 grammes unpacked.
