Arts and Crafts Brass Spirit Kettle Stand and Burner Leaf Urn Design c 1900
A very decorative and stylish item of arts and crafts period brass-ware. A brass spirit kettle, burner and stand. The kettle has a lovely repousse flaming urn and leaf pattern on each side with a twisted brass and ebonised wooden handle and knob. The stand has stylish plain brass cross uprights. The kettle is tinned internally so is still suitable for use.
This spirit kettle with stand and lift out burner dates from around 1890 -1900. It is by an unknown maker as it is unmarked, but similar to pieces produced by Townshends and Co.
The kettle and stand is 11 inches (28 cm) high, 9 inches (23 cm) long and 7 inches (16 cm) wide with a total weight of 1091 g. Because of its size and weight, it can only be sent overseas by courier. It is in excellent condition with a couple of very minor dents to the base of the kettle commensurate with age and use. (included for complete accuracy).
