Arts and Crafts Brass Spirit Kettle Stand and Burner Repousse Design c 1900
A very decorative and stylish item of arts and crafts period brassware. An brass spirit kettle, burner and stand. The kettle has a lovely repousse scalloped pattern border with a stylised leaf type design. The stand has twig like uprights. It has an ebonised wooden handle and knob.
This spirit kettle with stand and lift out burner dates from around 1890 -1900. It is by an unknown maker as it is unmarked, but similar to pieces produced by Townshends and Co.
In total, the kettle stands 12 1/2 inches high and the total weight is 1208g. Because of its size and weight, it can only be sent overseas by courier. Prices given for this are indicative only and may vary for remote locations etc. Please message for a firm price for your location.
It is in good condition with a small dent to the base of the kettle. There is a little heat damage to the lower part of the kettle but this would probably improve with polishing. The stand is a little uneven so has a very slight wobble.
This is a great looking item of arts and crafts metalware and a very decorative object. We have not polished it as some people prefer a natural patina, but it would polish up beautifully.
