Bristol Green Small Ale Glass White Enamel Gilding Antique Victorian c 1880

A very decorative and unusual antique green glass straight sided small ale or dwarf ale glass dating from around 1880. This lovely glass dating from the Victorian period and produced by one of the Stourbridge glassmakers of the day. The glass has been beautifully hand decorated with white enamel swags and flowers and gilded bows and stars. 

It stands 5 5/8ths inches high and the foot diameter is 2 3/8ths inches. It has a short baluster knopped stem and a gilded rim. The glass weighs 177g and is in very good condition throughout, appearing to have had very little use.
