Chinese Porcelain Teapot Stand Lobed Qianlong 乾隆 Qing 清代 1750

A hexagonal lobed shaped Chinese export porcelain teapot stand decorated with finely hand painted underglaze blue peony, fence, pine trees with a bird flying to another in a nest, all in an overall garden pattern with a blue cell border at the rim.

The original Chinese monochrome decoration has been "enhanced" or clobbered (unnecessarily in our opinion) with some polychrome enamel colours, most probably done in the UK in the mid 18th century, in order to make it more fashionable at the time.

It is generally of an early 18th century silver shape and it dates to circa 1750, from the reign of the Emperor Qianlong 乾隆 (1736-95) the Qing dynasty 清代.

It is in excellent antique condition with a little wear to the clobbered enamel and some glaze rubbing from use, some minor fritting to the rim. Please see the images. This is a most attractive item to add to any collection of 18th century antique Chinese porcelain.
