Chinese Stoneware Storage Jar Painted Riverscape 19th C Antique
An 19th century Chinese stoneware or thick porcelain storage jar, often called ginger jars, looks to have been quickly hand painted with stylised boats in a river scene in a drab underglaze cobalt blue. The base is marked in under glaze blue with symbol. The jar dates from the 19th century..
It is in good antique condition with no damage there are marks on the shoulder where the lid that is now missing was sealed to the body.
This is a lovely item to add to any collection of Chinese stoneware or porcelain,
