Cube Shaped Multi Seal Stamp Intaglios Mottos Sailing Ship Dog Antique Victorian

A highly collectable Victorian multi-seal dating from around 1860, a superb item for any collector of desk seals / stamps. This cube shaped seal, with six sides, is made of brass and inset with sky blue glass intaglios with a variety of motifs and mottos. The mottos are " Such is Life" alongside a sailing ship and "Fidelity" with a running dog. There are cameos of classical heads, a pair of birds in a nest and a single rose flower. There are cracks across the intaglios with the cameos (one also is chipped) and the running dog - maybe the original owner used them the most. There are small nicks and / or surface scratches to the others, commensurate with age and use.

It measures approx 3/4 inches wide and weighs 10g. This is a great item to add to any collection and quite a rare find.
