Engraved Glass Celery Vase Ferns Bell Shaped Baluster Stem Antique Victorian

Antique glass celery vase an engraved bell shaped bowl with ferns leaves and geometric swags. This lovely lead glass vase sits on a  baluster stem with a plain foot. This vase dates from around 1870, the early to mid Victorian period and is made of hand blown glass. The vase has been wheel engraved on the bowl with small thumb cuts, stars  geometric patterns and small finials.

This is a very attractive and quality vase is in excellent antique condition with no chips cracks nor restoration, some minor tooling marks and inclusion within the metal. The foot is not quite round but slightly elliptical, an indication of the item being hand made. There is a significant amount of mossing to the foot.  It rings beautifully when flicked with a finger.

This is a very decorative piece of Victorian glassware for the table or sideboard. Free UK shipping on this item.
