A beautiful and usable antique Edwardian ornate lobed shaped bone china porcelain tea set with an exquisite hand painted floral pattern with burnished gilding. The pattern consists of a cobalt blue ground with a central cartouche with three pink roses surrounded by six cartouches with pink Roses and yellow and white Narcissi, surrounded with extensive burnished gilding. The cups and bowl have this design on the outside and seven cartouches painted on the inside without the cobalt blue and gilding. Every item in this set has been signed by the artist they are mostly by W. Stockley but also W. Lamonby. The manufacturer is George Jones and sons ltd of the Trent Potteries, Stoke on Trent, England using their trademark of Crescent China.

Each item of set has the printed Crescent China GJ makers mark and the hand painted pattern number TC 343 on the underside. The mark dates from the period 1891 until 1921. The cups and bowl are in an ornate scalloped shape with six large lobes used for the painted decoration. The foot has and ornate acanthus leaf moulded design all covered with the burnished gilding.
