Stag Horn Handled Carbon Steel Knife and Fork Rogers Antique Cutlery c 1860
Great looking stag horn handled cutlery in the Georgian style but dating from around 1860. The knife does not have a point but has a rounded end and is stamped on the carbon steel blade: V R (Queen Victoria) with a crown in between, Rodgers, Sheffield. The knife is approx 11 inches long and the three-tined fork is 8 inches long and is stamped Warranted Cast Steel.
The knife and fork are in good antique condition and together they weigh 174g. They are very tactile and would make a great addition to any collection of antique cutlery. They are great items for display and use or for a prop for a period set table. Please see my other antique cutlery also listed for sale this week..
