Late Victorian Pierced Silver Plated Fruit Bowl Star Pattern Gadrooned Rim
A nice quality classical antique, decorative, late Victorian to Edwardian silver plated (silver on copper) pierced or open work footed fruit bowl with an eight pointed star shaped pierced pattern and gadrooned foot and rim.
The fruit bowl or centre bowl is made of heavy gauge sheet is round in shape with a dished pierced bowl and capstan type shaped foot. There are no makers marks or stamps to idenify the manufacturer. It is in very good antique condition, the plate has some very minor bleeding to some high points, only visible on very close inspection. There is some minor marking or scratching in the centre from use. Please see the images.
A lovely example for a collector of antique metalware or old silver plate openwork in a classical style. This fruit bowl dates to the late 19th century circa 1900.
