Mintons Pottery Chamberstick and Butterfly Snuffer Pink Roses Antique 1874
A Mintons fine white earthenware, hand coloured, transfer printed chamberstick decorated with pink roses and gilded Greek key pattern. This is a very attractive and an highly collectable antique item which is both decorative and practical. This pretty traditional shaped chamber stick has the impressed mark Mintons on the base including the date cypher mark for 1874. There are also a number of other impressed and printed marks and a hand painted pattern number A3667, a decorator's mark and gilder's mark.
The chamber stick comes complete with the original snuffer which has a butterfly shaped handle, both items are decorated in the same pattern..
The chamberstick is in excellent antique condition with some minor wear to the gilding and crazing to the glaze however, the snuffer has a restored finial and a repaired internal chip and crack, please see the images.
This is a great piece for any collector and a very decorative display item.
