Pair of Blue Opaque Glass Mantle Lustre Vases Antique Victorian c 1870

A pair of blue opaque glass vases with faceted cut glass prismatic lead crystal droppers, dating from the Victorian period around 1870, probably made in the Stourbridge in England.

These pretty bulbous bowled frilled rim columnar vases have been hand painted with a red flower and green leaf decoration with additional gilding with a black outline, to highlight the decoration. This type of vase was often made to sit on mantle shelves and the glass droppers reflected the light in the room. They are highly decorative and very collectable antiques.

They are in good antique condition with no chips cracks nor restoration to the main bodies, there are tooling marks. There is wear to the gilding, some of the droppers have been rewired and some have minor losses.
