Royal Dux Ceramic Pair Figurines Boy Pups Girl Kittens 1341 c 1920

Pair of Royal Dux ceramic figurines, one of a young boy, dressed in knee length shorts open neck shirt and waistcoat, carrying a basket on his right shoulder containing two puppies and another puppy under his left arm. The other of a young girl in a calf length pinafore, carrying a basket on her left shoulder containing two kittens. This gorgeous pair of Royal Dux figurines have been modelled in a Kate Greenaway style. Decorated in lovely muted soft blush enamel colours in peach, light brown, moss green and brushed soft gilding. 

Both are in excellent antique condition; no chips, cracks nor restoration, some wear to the enamel on the back of the boy figure.  These are rare models to find, especially in such good order. 

Applied 'Royal Dux (E) Bohemia' pink triangles or lozenge marks and green printed 'Made in Czechoslovakia' each impressed with model number 1341. Maximum height with basket 22.5 cm (8.875 inches) These figures date from the early 20th century, circa 1920. 

Royal Dux Porcelain has been made in the town of Duchcov, then Bohemia, now the Czech Republic (previously Czechoslovakia) located to the North West of Prague.
