Ruby Flashed Rummer Ale Glass Engraved Bands 300ml Antique Victorian circa 1880
A very decorative deep ruby flashed ale glass or rummer from the Victorian period circa 1880.
The glass has a bell shaped bowl with alternating bands of deep ruby colour and clear glass. The clear glass bands have cut glass lines to them. The short plain stem has also and engraved line or band. It has been hand blown and has a plain ruby flashed foot with rough pontil on the base. There is the amount of wear on the base that you would expect to see with an antique item of glassware for the table.
The glass stands just over 5 1/4 inches high and has a diameter of 3 1/8ths inches. It weighs 226g and is in very good condition with minor losses to the ruby flashing.
This is a lovely antique glass to add to any collection and a great piece for display and use.
