This is a Victorian Venetian style ( Façon de Venise ) opal glass wine glass. This is a style very popular with the exponents of the Arts and Crafts movement in the UK. This lovely quality glass dates to the late 19th century around 1880, Queen Victoria was on the throne in the UK when this glass was made. Salviati & Co was founded in 1859 in Murano, Venice, Italy, by Dr Antonio Salviati, Enrico Podio, and Lorenzo Radi. In 1883 it was purchased by the Barovier family, but continued under the name Salviati & Co. This particular glass is unmarked but for similar looking items see the in house painted drawings for Salviati circa 1880. (Ref 1)
It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, nor restoration. Some typical minor surface wear. There are signs of tooling marks and some bubble inclusions in the body of the metal one in the base of the bowl as can be seen in the images.
