Samuel Alcock Porcelain Trio Painted Flowers Cups & Saucer Antique English 1835

Samuel Alcock Trio in English porcelain or rather bone china, which consists of a tea cup, a coffee cup and saucer, dating from around 1835. Each has been nicely hand painted and gilded with an underglaze blue ground.

The pattern has roses or flowers in the base of the cups and saucer. There is gilding around the inner rims and around the outsides of each item.

The body is very white and this is high-quality bone china. There are no makers marks nor pattern numbers. However, the cups have a square shaped handle and five pairs of ribs around them which helps attribute them to Samuel Alcock of Hill Pottery, Westport Road, Burslem, Staffordshire, England.

The coffee cup stands 2 5/8 inches high and is 3 3/8 inches in diameter at the rim. The tea cup stands 2 inches high and is 4 inches in diameter at the rim. The saucer is 5 3/4 inches diameter. A total unpacked weight of 318 grammes.

Condition:  Excellent antique condition. Some minor crazing to the glaze and minor wear to the gilding no chips, cracks nor restoration.

This is a lovely piece to display among any collection of antique English porcelain
