Small Chinese Porcelain Platter Blue White Peony Batavian Qianlong Antique 1750

A small octagonal rectangular shaped antique Chinese export porcelain Batavian rimmed platter, meat plate, serving dish or small charger decorated with hand painted peonies in under-glaze cobalt blue. The design in the centre of the plate has sprays of flowers including peonies and chrysanthemum flowers. There is an outer border of diamond diaper with four large flower scrolls and the corners with ribbon scrolls. There is an inner border of stylised lingzhi fungus.  The base is flat and is slighly orange in colour with sand inclusions.

It dates to the mid eighteenth century, circa 1750, during the reign of the Emperor Qianlong 乾隆 (1736-95) in the Qing dynasty 清代.

The plate is 11 inches (27.9 cm) long by 7 1/2 inches (19 cm) wide and is 1 inch (2.5 cm) high, it weighs 578g unpacked.

It is in very good antique condition with some very minor fritting. There is sand fritting to the base. It is a very attractive items to add to a collection of antique blue and white hand painted Chinese 18th century porcelain.

The last image shows two matching platters both slightly larger than this one, they are offered separately for sale.
