Spode antique porcelain new oval shaped teapot stand transfer printed in blue & white in the Two Temples variation I Temple pattern early 19thC

A Spode porcelain antique new oval shaped teapot stand from the early 19th century, circa 1815, during the Georgian era or Regency period, George III was the monarch at the time although his son the Prince Regent was standing in for him.

This English porcelain teapot stand is unmarked. It has a very attractive blue and white Chinoiserie transfer printed pattern with two gilded border lines. This pattern is known by collectors as the two temples variation I Temple and is also known as Spode Temple, Pagoda or shuttered windows.  For more details on this pattern see the Transfer ware collectors club database pattern number 10141.

The teapot stand  is 3/4 inch (19 mm) high by 8 1/8 inches (207 mm) long and 6 1/2 inches (165 mm) wide. It weighs 255 grammes unpacked.

It is in good antique condition, no chips, cracks nor restoration, there is a little rubbing to the gilding. There is some crazing to the glaze and associated discolouration. Please see the images.

This is a great item for any collector of antique English 19th century teapot stands, spoon dishes or Spode pottery and porcelain.
